June 19th, 2015

At this year’s Cassandra Summit, scheduled for September 23rd and 24th in Santa Clara, California, there will be over 120 sessions across eight tracks. The Call for Papers has been open since April, and abstracts have been steadily rolling in, but in the last four days, there has been an avalanche as folks submit ahead of the deadline on June 30th. If you haven’t submitted yet, and are thinking about it…go for it!

While we will not know the final schedule until mid-July, once the  speaking committee has convened and voted on all the abstracts, we have received some fantastic abstracts from companies big and small, both  well-known and unknown, from all over the world. Here are some highlighted companies that we are welcoming submissions from for the first time, showing again how Cassandra continues to grow and be adopted across enterprises large and small:

First-time submissions: Macy’s, RSA, Shift Energy, Snazy, EMC,  PagerDuty, Mesosphere, Workday, TeleStax, Datagres

And here our some companies we are welcoming back: Netflix,  Databricks, The Weather Channel, Socrata, Apple, Reltio

Whether you are a veteran speaker, or thinking about trying a  presentation for the first time, don’t be shy, submit today – you will be in  great company and the Cassandra Community would love to hear your  story.
